There must be a pandemic going on, because I am starting a blog. The main idea is to find a place to track my reading and thoughts on what I have read, but that naturally morphs into more of a journal as we tend to interact with books based on our current life experiences. Writing is difficult, but typing isn’t, so I am hoping to use this as a place to put all these thoughts.
We (my husband, my dog, and I) recently moved from Minneapolis to San Diego. I work from home and riding out a pandemic near the beach and mountains certainly seemed more appealing than yet another winter dog walk in negative temperatures. Plus there are a couple of work benefits to being in the same state as my company.
Before moving I purged my bookshelves of 90% of the books I had already read. So here I am with a pared down library, but still an embarrassing amount to read. Like most bookworms, I tend to purchase far more books than I read, but I am trying to be better and have the goal of reading through my own shelves in the next 2-3 years.
So…here we go.
